Clemens en August, the worlds only touring concept store today offically announced on their website all tourdates for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2009 tour. Unlike any other brand Clemens en August has no stores or stockists: they showcase their minimalist yet luxury collections in a rock n? roll style ?world-tour? across 11 international capitals including Tokyo, London, New York and Berlin.
The first German stopps will be next week in Frankfurt (27th/28th of March) at Design FFM and in Munich (25th-28th of March) at hausderkunst.
The brand launched in 2005 under the creative direction of founder Alexander Brenninkmeijer, with its first sale at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin. Now only the hippest galleries and museums around the globe are home to Clemens en August sales - a far cry from the run-of-the-mill fashion showrooms and stores.
The Clemens en August rock n? roll approach to retail has nothing to do with gimmicks; it?s a solution to the question of sky-high prices in the luxury market. By opting for an edgy tour format over day-to-day retail, Clemens en August can offer value for money whilst still delivering the highest quality product and investing in the areas that matter: high-quality design, fabrics and manufacturing.
