It’s the return. Once again, NEUE MODE is changing as it has over the last years. The new episode salutes the dynamic power of directional visions of Dutch design. It is an orderless range of ideas, rearranged by multidisciplinarity. Along with surprising transformations by fashion designer ANNE DE GRIJFF or new directions of couture by futuristic designer IRIS VAN HERPEN shot by ANUSCHKA BLOMMERS and NIELS SCHUMM featured on our cover, this issue is about distinctive Dutchness of individuals. Seized by the beauty of light, the young product designer FREDERIKE TOP plays endlessly with a changing foldout perspective on light and shadow, whereas DOEPEL STRIJKERS’ dazzling work simply expresses Avant-garde.
This time it seems all that glitters is gold and maintains the glow. Let’s slow down, breathe and recapture variations of pleats, folds and geometrical shapes.
